Bingo:Bingo101:Really Basic Bingo

Bingo is a simple, fun game to play.  It's so simple, Sister Dana can even play!

Here's how it works:

When you come to the bingo game, you buy a "set" of "cards" (really cheap crappy paper, but we call them cards).  Each "set" contains ten "cards" (in english, this means you get 10 sheets of paper, stapled together).  You use one card (or piece of paper) for each game.

Question:  If you buy a set of ten cards, and you use one card for each game, how many games do you play?

Answer:  Well, unless you are distracted by the cutie on your left or have to be home early, you play TEN games!

(We really get asked this question!)

On each card is a grid that looks like this:

The ball-puller (a person located on the stage with a microphone) will begin to call numbers, such as B1 or 0 63.  If these numbers appear on your card, you mark them with a blotter (no, not the illegal narcotic in your handbag, but the little bottle of ink someone hands you on the way inside).

As you mark numbers on your card, you watch to see if the numbers you mark match the current pattern (we'll cover patterns in the next part of the course).  If they do, you stand up, dance around, waving your arms madly, and yell "Bingo!" - because you just won!

That't it!  Easy, simple, fun!

Answer A: These nuns are so old, someone must have resurrected them from the grave to run this bingo game.
Answer B: The Sisters have a secret pact with Pat Robertson to convert bingo players using subliminal messages hidden in the cards.  (If you have ten cards, and one subliminal message per card, how many subliminal messages do you have?)
Answer C: The Sisters brought bingo back from the dead to the cheers of the city!
